CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

On Sunday morning at 9:30 AM, children enjoy a Church School Class with Bible stories, crafts and other activities just for them. During the 11:00 AM worship service, children 4 years through 1st grade leave the before the sermon time and go to "Young Children in Worship."  This is a time when an adult and a greeter invite the children to learn by "seeing" the Biblical story, participating in prayer experiences, and learning what worship means.

Each summer, New Hope hosts a week-long KidShine Performing Arts Day Camp for grades 3-8. The dates Summer 2010 are August 9-13. The day camp is 9AM-3PM, Monday through Friday, and includes music, drama, dance, puppets, instruments and scenery painting.  The grand finale is the performance of musical on Friday night.  Be sure to see the pictures of last summer's camp!

YOUTH MINISTRIES

A small church provides the opportunity for clergy and youth to know one another.  We involve our youth in the work of the church, i.e., operating the sound system, serving on committees, helping with Young Children in Worship, serving as a Youth Elder, going on mission trips, providing leadership for Summer Education Event and providing worship leadership.

In addition, our youth participate in local service projects, backpacking trips and day hikes, Presbytery youth events, conferences and retreats.  Each youth has a mentor who stays in touch with them as they grow in their faith.
